Folk legends in the Poster Design - exhibition.

Up to August 19, you will be able to see the international exhibition "Folk motifs in the Poster Design" in our Temporary Exhibitions Gallery. But from August 20, we invite you to the second edition of the event "Folk legends in the Poster Design".

The opening of the exhibition will be accompanied by a recital of Michał Iwanek - pianist, arranger, composer and music producer. Patrycja Longawa (the curator of the exhibition) once again invited artists from all over the world to participate in the event. Each of them had to send one poster depicting the theme of folk legends and myths. Folk legends have survived in many regions and cultures to this day. Such stories differ from each other depending on the area they come from. Due to cultural diversity, we see distinct characters or threads in European legends and others in, for instance, Asian ones. Despite these differences, mutual features can be spotted: it may be the occurrence of a moral, or love and friendship themes. The exhibition aims to compare legends around the globe and to present stories from different continents.
We look forward to welcoming you!
